Brenda Burns M.Ed., joined Give Something Back as the Washington State Program Director in January of 2021. Brenda holds a masters in "Higher Education and Non-Profit Leadership" from Central Washington University and prior to Give Back she worked at the university level in International Education & Study Abroad. Brenda is passionate about education equity and serving some of our areas most marginalized students.  Brenda is originally from North Idaho and earned her bachelor's degree as a scholarship student-athlete from the University of Idaho. She currently lives in Olympia, WA with her husband and two children, where she enjoys volunteering at their school and spending time with her family. In any remaining spare time, Brenda can also be found running, hiking, working in the garden, or planning her next travel adventure.
