What makes Give Back
 ?

What makes Give Back

DIFFERENT?

Our scholars range from 8th grade through college. We aim to help those who have faced significant adversities, such as child abuse and neglect, homelessness, and/or the incarceration of a parent. Our programming increases educational awareness, academic opportunities, access to financial aid, and career preparation. Our curriculum supports holistic student development based on purposeful goal-setting, relationship building and developing strategies to overcome hurdles for post-secondary education completion and career success. And we are there with them every step of the way!

Our professionally trained coaches meet with each student one on one twice a month, helping them develop and implement action plans for their personal, educational and career goals, and leading monthly “Scholar Saturdays” trainings using the Give Back curriculum to develop economic stability, relational wealth, and resiliency building. They provide consistent, long-term support from middle school through high school, post-secondary education and the launch of scholars' careers.

Give Something Back is a national nonprofit supporting students who have faced significant adversities, guiding them toward long-term success in a safe and caring community. Scholars can apply as early as 8th grade. Accepted students are assigned to a mentor who assists them with college preparation through high school and college/trade school, helping students navigate the complex processes when applying to and attending institutions of higher education. Over 90% of high school students remain in the program and continue to college, with 87% of those graduating from college on time.
