Jonathan Watson and serves as the Treasurer on the Board. Jonathan retired as an executive manager for an international oil company in 2020 after a 42 year career in petroleum marketing. Through a professional relationship, Jonathan became friends with Bob Carr and through that friendship came to embrace the mission and vision of GSB. As the first in his family to attend university, Jonathan appreciates the positive impact education can have on the trajectory of one’s life and career. Jonathan earned degrees in Economics and Business Management at North Carolina State University and attributes the grace of God, his education and hard work for a decades long career of increasing responsibilities, expanding experiences and lasting friendships that he could not have imagined as a youth. Jonathan also serves as board chairman for a non-denominational youth camp in western North Carolina with the goal of positively impacting the lives of young people through a Christian camping experience.
