Joshua Joyce joined Giveback as a Student Success Coach in August 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for education. Hailing from the scenic hills of Southwest Virginia, Joshua's educational journey led him to Norfolk State University, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History. After college, Joshua embarked on a transformative path through Teach for America, dedicating himself to teaching in underserved communities. His career began in Greensboro, NC, but it was at Democracy Prep Harlem Middle School where he truly shone. Over nine years, Joshua made a significant impact as a teacher, championship-winning football and basketball coach, and founder of the Illustrious Youth of Harlem World program. Beyond his professional achievements, Joshua is a devoted husband and a proud father to a beautiful daughter. His family is his greatest joy and source of inspiration as he continues to uplift and empower youth across the New York region. Joshua’s commitment to making a positive difference in young lives remains at the heart of his work.
