Chad Carr had a 30-year career in software and consulting before coming to the nonprofit world. Starting in sales at his parent’s boutique accounting software business, Chad eventually bought the company and expanded it into several additional products and industries. In 2017, Chad joined Give Back founder Bob Carr at his new company Beyond where he oversaw several recently acquired software companies. In 2021, Bob Carr asked Chad to assist with the development of the new Give Back Careers program while still working with Beyond. A year later, Chad moved to Give Back full time as the Chief of Staff overseeing the business, finance and HR functions of the organization. Before his career in software, Chad spent his first four years out of college working as a Wilderness Instructor with Adjudicated Youth at a long-term, residential treatment and diversion program.
