The North Carolina location began in 2022 in Onslow county and has supported scholars in the Jacksonville area with college and career readiness. North Carolina’s program is funded by a federal grant program known as VOCA, or Victims of Crime Act. VOCA supports victims and survivors of various crimes within the home and community. Give Something Back has a partnership with multiple nonprofit agencies in North Carolina, including the Boys and Girls Club and Williams Outreach and Consulting.
Individuals who participate in the Give Back program in North Carolina have access to resources such as college tours, one-on-one mentoring, monthly events within the community, and other activities throughout the school year which aim to prepare students for post-secondary education and beyond. Although the program began in Onslow county, Give Back welcomes students in other counties within North Carolina to apply.

Give Back is grateful for the Partnership and Financial Support we receive through the DCYF Youth Investment Program Grant. This grant allows us to provide long-term coaching and support to youth who are overcoming significant adversity.
