Dr. Amy Young

Dr. Amy Young is a board-certified Child Abuse Pediatrician at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital and has served as an expert in the evaluation of child maltreatment cases in the Inland Empire and beyond for over 18 years. She is the Chief of the Forensic Pediatric Division at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital and the Medical Director of the Children’s Assessment Center, a collaboration between San Bernardino County and Loma Linda University Children's Hospital that provides forensic interviews and evidentiary medical examinations to assist in the evaluation of child abuse allegations. Dr. Young is also the Program Director of the LLU Child Abuse Pediatrics Fellowship as well as the Executive Director of the California Chapter of Give Something Back, an organization that provides college scholarships and mentoring to students who have faced economic hardship and other adversities such as foster care or the incarceration of a parent. Additionally, she is the Director of the Resiliency Institute for Childhood Adversity (RICA), an LLU institute. RICA, which means “forever strong”, is designed to bring all of these entities into partnership to bring wholeness, wellness and hope to the vulnerable, at-risk youth of our community.
